suck for years and people still show up, just to have a good time, get drunk in the parking lot, bbq, etc...

At Royals games, while some fans do tailgate, the majority show up for the game and don't tailgate, because there are so many games. It is the nature of the sport. It makes more since to have it more centralized to attract more nightly fans.
