while the current welfare system is fraught with corruption, fraud and abuse, i believe that there are times when government should help its citizens.

I am not tough like you. I would not leave hurricane victims to fend for themselves.

I would not refuse temporary TEMPORARY assistance to ANYONE who stumbled in life.

I would not refuse medical treatment to anyone who could not pay. Even mexicans who are here illegally in emergency rooms.

I would not refuse to deliver food to starving people in haiti or elsewhere.
