thought. Bernie is a bad champion for the Dems, IMO.
We dont want free education for all; too many people go to college as it is. There are thousands of unfilled 'blue collar' jobs that pay better than most entry-level bachelor's positions. And they have as good or better than the average career trajectory. Kids dont want to go to trade school, however.
We dont want guaranteed jobs for all, thats the opposite of what we know works. There are jobs for all right now if you look for them. How many times do Dems complain that we need illegal immigrants to harvest our crops? And while streamlining temporary work visas is a discussion for another day, its a real problem. The real problem is, Americans dont want those jobs. Things arent bad enough for the unemployed, in other words.
Medicare for all? I dont know. I have reservations but I understand that preventing illness is cheaper than treating it indefinitely. Id like to see how the costs work out and how they plan to fund it.
But heres the kicker: ALL of these plans help the poor or lower 35% of people. How do they plan to claim the undecided middle class? Why should they be so narrowly focused on the poor?
