I will point out that for 8 years, R's ran on anti-Obama. Their agenda was "Everything Obama is doing is terrible" and it spawned Trump. So, I agree, this will do nothing but increase the divide. Politicians dont actually represent most people, just the loudest and angriest who are most likely to vote.
