I do understand where some fans are coming from. The team has been in an abyss and seems to be on an uptick. Jontay is seen as the cornerstone moving forward. Everyone expected Michael to leave but Jontay has caught them off guard. What they have to understand is the NBA is the dream of probably 90% of these young men even more so then championships. If Jontay joins Michael in the NBA this year, that will be 6 players who played for CM in the last 5 years to go on to the NBA. That's what top level players are looking for is coaches that can help them get there, not overseas. So players going to the NBA from Mizzou enhances our chances in recruiting.
