President Donald Trump is set to sign a proclamation ordering the Department of Homeland Security and the Pentagon to work with governors to dispatch National Guard troops to border regions, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen said.

The proclamation will allow the Department of Homeland Security “for the first time in almost a decade to fully enforce our border,” Ms. Nielsen said at the White House briefing.
