debates... No man has a right to do that which is evil.
Enslaving a human being against his will is evil.
Deliberately killing an innocent human being merely because one deems his or her existence to be an infringement upon one's own rights, wants or wishes is also evil.
Neither of those is a "right".
A society is duty bound to try and prevent such evil, of the strong victimizing the weak.
It is no legitimate excuse to say that "I am personally opposed to that evil, but I think that those who commit such evil should be free to do so without interference from society."
Senator Douglas was in favor of a right to engage in the evil of slavery.
You are in favor of a right to deliberately kill wunborn human beings... murder, by your own definition.
