the team is not having a good season or seasons. There is a false premise laid out that you can't enjoy watching other schools in the conference and enjoy the games if "your team" sucks.
I reject that line of thinking wholeheartedly. That one cannot enjoy the games when your team sucks suggests that person is not much of a fan of the sport, but his/her own self interest and ego. I enjoyed watching other teams play.
I watched how 3 of our SEC schools made it to the Elite Eight and I enjoyed their success. I think it was good for the whole conference, and good for Mizzou as a part of the conference.
How you can be a fan of Mizzou basketball and not enjoy that, I don't know. I do think it impacted recruiting positively for the whole conference, and you are starting to hear people speak about the league with more respect and admiration for the improvements across the board. Again, this is good for Mizzou.
