The only people who provide him validation anymore are racist imbeciles. So he makes racist statements that are imbecilic to gain their favor.

If he had normal people supporting him, he would make ignorantly phrased normal comments. He doesn't even know what he is talking about most of the time, its not like he is carefully choosing his words or expressing well thought out positions.
