Surely you agree, however, that prohibiting the deliberate, often brutal slaughter of innocent human beings must fall into that 1% that does fall directly into the category of affecting others.
The human being who is killed is obviously affected pretty severely, but so is his or her mother and father, siblings, grandparents and perhaps others.
