What do you know about his prior experience?

How many prior incidents has he displayed regarding "bad behavior" which required disciplinary action?

Like I said before, a guy from my academy class washed out in field training because he was wound tighter than a clockspring. There are people who get weeded out but in my experience people who get selected for tactical response teams are not in those positions for having over-reactionary tendencies. This officer may not have even been a tact team officer since the response was so fast.

I would speculate since the video/shoot was from across the street he was covering the officers closer to the action from a spotter position with a rifle. That would also explain the single shot.
