Here are the FBI rankings.
STL’s overall crime rate is much lower than KC’s, as seen below, & STL is significantly bigger with multiple business districts, such as Clayton.
Both STL & KC are virtually tied when it comes to Crime Rate, including Violent Crime, in their cities (inner 20% Urban areas), but outside the 2 defined enclaves in the outer parts (North) in the City of St. Louis is so much safer than KC, including Violent Crime, it’s not even a discussion.
The resident Chatty Kathy did a great job of pointing out how much more widespread the Crime Rate is throughout its much smaller Metro than STL in addressing all the muders (basically equal to STL’s numbers but all over the KC Metro).
Attached an article from the KC Star about the out of control homocide Rate in KC with not much local ability to keep up. One now has a 50/50 chance of getting caught for homocide in KC & Black Men between 25-34 have a higher Death Rate in KC than the Death Rate of soldiers deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2001 to 2011!!!! Wow!
Have discussed this before here but seeing a thread here earlier today momentarily reminded me of it & how it was proving the much more widespread crime in KC that I had been correctly made known, despite a couple of people willfully trying to keep themselves ignorant of the facts.
