fans that legitimately thought before the season Mizzou would go 8-4, 9-3. Instead the start was 1-5 and the boo birds came out. Especially those wanting a new coach. Wanting someone to blame. Then a funny thing happened, Mizzou went on a six game winning streak and going bowling. The fans that were optimistic at the start of the season had a measure of vindication.
The boo birds on the other hand, oh hell no. They wanted someone's scalp and were not going to be dissuaded otherwise.
I follow recruiting. Always have. There are a lot of factors that go into recruiting.
(1) evaluating talent (2) filling team needs. (3) building a winning program that requires program players and fifth year seniors. (4) strength and conditioning. (5) Player development. (6) team cohesion.
A lot of boo birds at the heart of it wanted a new Mizzou head coach and disappointed they are not getting one.
Stating facts just get in the way and make them madder.
