When a defender is up on the inbounds passer that hard

I don't know why a guy wouldn't make some attempt to create contact with him. Stick the ball over the line a little and let him hit it. Reach over a little when throwing the pass and touch him before you let go of it. A couple of good pass fakes can get him reaching and jumping and possibly over the line. You have to combat aggressiveness with aggressiveness. You have to do something to get them to soften up just a little. I didn't see out guys do anything to try to make that happen. We just wilted. You have to play with smarts. It doesn't seem like there's a lot of that exhibited now days.
