utilities is fascism.

I disagree. I think the government, through a vote of the people, should do its best to protect its people from being blatantly taken advantage of.

Only if there is a fundamental equality of bargaining position between buyer and seller can there be the efficient allocation of resources necessary for the operation of a free enterprise economy.

Government is not perfect at it, ofc. Read here about some good and bad consumer regulations.
