Your error is the same as GA tigers and JG's and nearly everyone else's - thinking the feds should regulate what YOU think is appropriate when there are 330M "you" out there.
The concept of the republic is predicated on a limited federal govt. You're advocating for a pure democracy in which whomever gets the votes dictates the limits and application of POWER.
When you advocate for even a single thing beyond the enumerated powers, you join those who would advocate for all things beyond the enumerated powers; that is, you become that which you claim to oppose - a liberal and certainly not a constitutionally principled conservative.
