were in another conference and I marked my life by LSU football. I would be both excited and mad to be in a new conference at the same time. We SEC fans don't understand or appreciate how hard this was for Mizzou. The Big 8 was a great conference. Not so with the Big XII. The Big XII bent them over pretty hard. Rivalries matter especially losing 100 year old rivalries. Rivalries matters to SEC fans. It mattered to Mizzou fans losing life long rivalries. It's just me, but I cut Mizzou fans a lot of slack on this subject.
