long as you disagree with it the constitution does not matter but if it is one of your sacred cows then it is untouchable?

Any end run around part of the Constitution weakens the entire system.

I do not own a gun, never have and never will. The elimination of the second amendment and outlawing guns would have zero effect on me. But ignoring the rules and slowly eroding the second amendment opens the door to do the same thing to other amendments which MAY impact my life.

If you guys are so big on gun control and you believe you have widespread support then why not just do it right and amend the constitution and make gun control the law of the land?

The same people who jump up and down about asking for an ID at the polls have no problem making people jump through all sorts of hoops to exercise their second amendment rights. Explain that please.
