& they probably would not want to release every tidbit of information to the general public right away...

Which frustrates everyone who wants to know all of the details and make some semblance of sense out of it all...

and leads to a lot of speculation...

and given that some big investigations in the past have been incomplete &/or incompetent &/or some information appears to have been kept from the public, speculation on ulterior motives or hidden agendas from those doing the investigation or those who can influence the investigation or the release of the findings thrives.
