He was allegedly a multi-millionaire... adding another million $ to the pile shouldn't have made that much difference to him.

That would hardly be something a rational person would commit suicide over, much less kill dozens of innocent people first and then kill himself... and tell no one, nor leave any note to try and get back at the people he was actually mad at?

If he was p*ssed at that hotel, why go to a different hotel to create his mayhem? Why not walk into the offending hotel with guns blazing... or shoot up all the people in the hotel pool or at some big event?
