"All they (the players) wanted to do was to have this kid live."

"What all the pundits said, was if we hadn't done that, we wouldn't have been able to recruit another black player."

McKernan states some fans look at the Auburn game and believe it all goes back to the events of November 2015. Pinkel kind of hems and haws, but says "That's not so."
