This is a new era in my opinion. Much more like the NFL than people want to believe. Just because of the "mess" that Odom inherited don't bet that something won't happen early on. That may, in fact, be one of the reasons Sterk might want to leave that mess in the dust and anyone associated with it, including Odom. The empty seats, the conference pressure, the local vendors all will scream for something. And in the intangibles like player retention, local recruiting and coaching staff stability Odom seems to be flailing.
