We were not the only program keeping an eye on him. The difference is that we were willing to hire him in 2016 when other teams were waiting to see what 2018 looked like.
I keep using the comparison to Gregg Marshall. I lobbied for him in 2011. Most of Tigerboard, and the country, had no idea who he was in 2011. Two years later, he was the hottest guy out there. I'm not saying Odom will have GM success, but it is an example that proves in the long run, it is always better to be early to the party than late.
