with current FBS HC's, coordinator, FCS, or fired NFL?
The pool of FBS HC's is weaker than it has been recently. Lots of targets have recently moved and are less likely to be an option.
If we are looking at FBS HC's, this is the list. Not saying I'd hire all of these guys, but the guys you talk to and hire are from this list.

Phil Montgomery - Tulsa
DJ Durkin - Maryland
Rick Stockstill - Middle Tennessee
Jason Candle - Toledo
Chris Creighton - Eastern Michigan
Bryan Harsin - Boise St
Craig Bohl - Wyoming
Mike Bobo - Colorado St
Rocky Long - San Diego St
Kyle Whittingham - Utah
Scott Satterfield - App St
Blake Anderson - Ark St
Neal Brown - Troy
Paul Petrino - Idaho

Again, these are decent to good guys that we probably could hire. Some of them we shouldn't hire.

I was against hiring Bo, but I'm not convinced he can never be a good HC. He isn't yet, but he might be someday.
