The compliance department didn't fully vet an approved internship for the validity of coursework, and it was later discovered after questioning that a booster gave minor infraction level benefits away from Columbia without anyone associated with the programs knowledge. None of those were given to entice a recruit to sign or for a recruiting advantage.

No program that was trying to compete would have been impacted by that more than driving over a speed bump. We turned it into an 'investigation' and came up with preposterous self penalties because Kim was doing so badly. For that, of course he had something to do with it. You think we vacate the 2013-14 season if we had a real coach in place?
