position should be open for evaluation, and every possibility explored (yes, Bruce, that includes SS). If that means giving Sanchez a look behind the plate, that's great.
I remember heading into the 2012 season, when I heard that EE was moving his All Big XII shortstop, Jenna Marsten, behind the plate, I thought he was crazy. Little did I know he had a pretty good player named Corrin Genovese coming in to replace her. And that Marsten would go on to earn All SEC honors behind the plate as well. Marsten, however was a superior all-around athlete. As good an athlete as Fagan was, she was not cut out for a role behind the plate. It will be interesting to see how the Sanchez experiment works out.
I suspect that we'll see Sanchez back at 3B next season, and one of the new kids will be catching. Regardless, we need to upgrade our defense behind the plate (something that can be said for the other seven positions on the field as well).
