laurels. That's certainly happened in STL and most of them are now out of business.
Saw it at Interstate in Memphis last year. Deplorable food and service. Still had the yellowed and faded framed USA Today article touting their great BBQ, written in 1985.
The best places in St. Louis have been opened in the last ten years.
