but not sure there is a difference today in how we honor service even if is a full time job.

When I was in you had draftees and those who enlisted whose only difference was enlisting to avoid being drafted and get the branch or MOS you wanted

I came very close to joining the AF but didn't want the additional 4 yrs or 6 yrs 4 mos altogether

Now with no draft its still service but for some they stay in for a career. I still believe they should be honored if they give their lives
