There is literally no way to describe how a color looks, you can describe how a lot of other things look.

What does red look like?

Vs

What does an apple look like?

Sure, despite being able to explain what an apple looks like we could each perceive an apple entirely different but in order to do that we'd have to perceive colors, shapes, sizes, etc. differently.
