although I'm not big on recruiting and the high school scene but I read a ton of stuff.
Two Missouri kids Kendyll Bailey and Callie Martin, and Trenity Edwards from Oklahoma would be my top 3 who could probably start right away and really push some current starters for playing time. Edwards in particular fills a big hole as she is a catcher, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Pierce moved to catcher either, opening up IB for an incoming freshman.
One group ranked Bailey as #11 in the 2017 recruiting class, Martin at #45, and Edwards at #98. I also put some stock in who else was in on these girls; Bailey reportedly chose Missouri over Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Oregon; Martin chose us over Arizona State, Georgia, and Kentucky; and Edwards chose us over Oklahoma, Florida State, and Baylor.
My next group would include Tajiah Ellison from Arizona, Hattie Moore from Texas, Kara Decker from Louisville. Ellison chose Mizzou over Arizona and LSU, and Moore over TAMU and Oregon State.
And I wouldn't be surprised to see someone from the group of Wlimes, George, and McDannold also challenge for some decent playing time. It's just had to predict though how these kids will transition to D1 and SEC play. But if Bailey, Martin and Edwards aren't starting next year, in addition to 1-3 others, then somebody really missed the boat on evaluating their potential.
