a truly elite pitching staff, and we are so far away from that it's not funny. It was a nice streak starting with Chelsea's freshmen season to go to the WCWS 3 years in a row, and we had a great chance to make it 5 years in a row her junior and senior seasons when we had super regionals in Columbia but blew that when we didn't have adequate backs ups for her, and had anemic hitting when it counted. Not saying those LSU and Washington teams we lost to weren't deserving, but on your home field you need to close the deal.

It's disappointing not going back for 5 years (will be 6 very soon), but I don't think that will stop us from getting top recruits. Having said that, we need to start getting back there maybe 50% of the time if we are really an elite power. Would be an extra selling point for recruits.
