"Washington has decided it will retain Lorenzo Romar, sources have confirmed to Yahoo Sports"

They were going to retain him because he had landed Porter, despite how disastrous his season was and how poorly the program had done under him the previous 5 season. Then Cuonzo took Porter Sr for his staff, so Romar was fired.
