I still don't believe that. Romar and MPS were best friends

I don't see Porter Sr. doing that to his best friend.

My theory is that Porter Sr. knew before it was announced that UW was going to be firing Romar, so he reached out to some connections in CoMo to let them know he could be available to whomever the new coach was going to be.

I think this is why many of the first reports of Romar being fired came from people covering Missouri.

As I said, just of theory. Along with the assistant AD at Washington coming out and saying reports of Porter Sr, leaving and getting Romar fired were 100% false and Porter Sr himself stating that it wasn't true that he was leaving before Romar got fired.

I've not seen any credible links to prove otherwise.
