guaranteed avenue to success. It's not. Talent alone is not going to keep you in the league. You have to work non-stop to stay on top teenagers do not handle the type of pressure that comes from being a professional athlete who is accountable for wins. It actually is a business. There is a reason they have a year wait at this point in time, after high school. Skipping a year puts them back in what has been determined to be a place where they are at significantly greater risk of failure and/or injury. Tiger Woods is washed up as a championship golfer. He didn't pace himself, and now there if very little left of that elite talent he had. And that doesn't even take into consideration that while it is a goal, it may not be the most important goal for his life, and you don't seem to have even considered that possibility.
