I'm not defending the pouring of money into the political system, I'm simply stating my opinion that you're never going to be able to eradicate it. And if you believe that government can just suddenly withdraw it's involvement, then you'd better be prepared to deal with the situation caused by that vacuum. I don't think it's anything more than an idealistic dream.
