have no problem with, there are simple ways to collect from Mexicans.
Simply put a new tax on money transfers terminating in Mexico. Well in excess of $20 billion is transferred to Mexico every year a 1% tax would net the US $200M every year. Wire transfers are very safe and secure almost no one would balk at a 1% tax and in a decade or two the wall would be paid for without leaving the US taxpayer on the hook for it.
