We have not fought a war with a country that threatened us since Great Britain - with a slight exception to Adolph and his boys. I am a strong supporter of the draft as it would decrease the speed with which we seem to rush to war by drafting to the effort everyone's children not just mostly from the poorer ranks of the society.

Though I think a percentage of folks who went to Afghan and in a gross mistake Iraq may have been doing so for some ginned up sense of patriotism. It appears we go to war so quickly b/c there is a lot of money in it for a certain class of people in this country.

Some will remember Poppy Bush's comment at the end of the cold war about the coming Peace Dividend. That so terrified these powers that be that with the loss of ENEMY NUMBER ONE commies within a matter of just a few years we had a new ENEMY NUMBER ONE - Islam (Islamic Fundamentalists).

Money is money. Off to church. Enjoy a moment of Peace this morning. Don't get TOO excited about artists in the motion picture industry snubbing your guy. Turns out he is a dyck.
