i'm flat out telling you. there is NO WAY to vet people from a country such as syria etc.

they aren't going to be in any of or systems. when i was doing the checks i couldn't access social media. thankfully at least that part got fixed but that is the level of crap you are dealing with.

we don't have people on the ground that can verify these things. we are doing an interview in a 3rd country and taking their word for it. oh sure they try to use sources to match up what they say with what was happening on the ground but for the most part that is open source stuff that the refugee could acesss.

the average person doing the vetting is not getting highly classified intel reports to compare their claims with situations on the ground.

they are making a personal judgement based on interviews it what it amounts to.
