i couldn't vet MEXICANS properly. what makes you think we can vet people from countries with no bureaucracy, no data base, no cooperation with their governments (which don't exist)?
why must we be reactive? why can't we be proactive and say hey, let's take a quick break. we have a new executive. and let's reevalute the process and make sure we are doing everything possible.
could that be done without the ban? sure. but one mistake is too many and potentially too costly.
maybe obama's system was PERFECT. and nothing more can be done. or maybe there are things we could be doing that would be hard to implement on the fly and a little pause would help us have the time and resources to identify the problems and put solutions in place.
