same time claim that a tortured person will tell you anything. If they will tell you anything doesn't that by definition include the truth?
Here is the assumption the anti-torture people always make that is false. The interrogators are not dumb. They know that much of what they arre told is false. So they cross check what there are told against outside intell and information they get from other interrogations. Anyone with a child knows that lies are hard to keep straight while the truth tends to stay more constant.
Now if people wish to argue the moral and ethical aspects of torture I think that is a valid topic of discussion. But to simply say that torture does not work is disingenuous at best and pure fiction at worst. A skilled interrogated with good intell can get information through torture. But is this a road we wish to travel?
