to believe the burbs have diversity, just not a ton of it. Almost all 'white' schools have minority students. When those minority students have the same educational and social expectations as all the other kids they all achieve about the same. It is when the minorities get large enough to start separating out that the problems start.

My daughter's class is quite diverse, for a suburban school, and by now I have interacted with most of the parents. Regardless of race, religion or creed we all have very similar expectations for our kids.

I do not know of a single family who thinks we have too many (AA, Mexican, Asian, insert group here) in the school.
