Wichita St. easily wins their conference most years, has made the NCAA tourney 5 straight seasons, and hasn't lost more than 10 games since the 2009-2010 season.

The difference with Mizzou is playing power 5 competition in conference.

So it's much easier to win at Wichita St, but it is also much easier to play yourself out of a potential tourney with a few bad games than it is in a p5 conference.
