If you get the chance, there is a TERRIFIC 90 minute piece on Ronald Reagan on "The American Experience". It gave me some insight on the guy and some appreciation for him. My dad loved him. The point about Black and White dealt mostly with America and Russia. Good, Bad.

It that American Experience piece they talk about how he didn't have any friends. He knew a bunch of folks, but none were friends. I am lucky in that I have cadre of close friends. I felt bad for Ron in that regard. In those last years, it was he and Nancy. That was it.

I got my info from that program. I am confidant in it. Maybe the idea was he didn't have many. I don't know. I was genuinely saddened by it.
