Where did I defend status quo

I just don't see how building a massive wall on one border will help. We have lots of walls there and they have built tunnels or found other ways here. They are willing to pay a lot to get here and willing to risk their lives. Building a wall is akin to our massive failure of a war on drugs. It all depends on how he works on massive deportation. But haven't some people already been deported multiple times which shows that deportation is not an effective policy. It all comes back to the fact that the incentives to come here outweigh the costs and risks to get here. And yes. The two things (wall and deportation will increase their costs some but I doubt a whole lot. Going after companies and their executives that hire illegals will be the best solution. IMO
