although all teams have highs and lows in a season....and young teams are prone to taking steps back at times.
As a preference, I would rather change coaches right at the end of the year, as opposed to mid-year. I'm not sure it does anything to encourage player development - although who knows, they might see it as an audition for their next head coach and start to understand that their performance, or lack thereof, have real world consequences for some folks.
