Impatience in the second half.
Once again the subs picked up the starters and got the team going. And then Phillips got aggressive going to the rim, and it gave the team life. They did a great job getting to the line, but failed to convert. Four of their players had at least 4 fouls.
Missing the front end of a one and one is like going 0 for 2. You simply have to do better. They took their fouls shots too quickly on the one and ones during Arizona's run, which if they hit, stops the run.
True they had to choose their poison on D, and I have to agree that they made the only choice they could. You hope they come in cold into a new arena, but they are upper end recruits with a bunch of good shooters on their team.
It looked like they caved when they failed to cut it to 2, and the 3s started raining down again, and the ole defense.
I really think they need to spend more time shooting on the game court and getting comfortable the surroundings.
The worst part of the game was having some female who sounded like a young guy doing color commentary. Thank God for the mute button.
