Hawaii lost their best player to an injury, the conference player of the year, just 3 points into the first set. That had to be worth a couple of points a set. I was surprised when Hawaii was handled with such ease. That explains part of it. Wouldn't have changed the final outcome probably but would have certainly been a much closer score.
