Thats part of the problem with playing in the SEC...

As opposed to the B1G, or PAC 12 to a similar extent. In those conferences you play a great team almost every match, you hardly get a single night off. Nearly every game is against a tournament quality team. It prepares you much better, win or lose, for the NCAA tourney.
Not so in the SEC, where the elite teams like Mizzou, Florida, and Kentucky play so many games against mediocre and bad teams that they have no chance of losing to, they don't get pressed and challenged on a regular basis. And that hurts come tournament time.
