Banning something does nothing for anyone.
Enlightenment is the only true answer.
And you can't get to enlightenment at gunpoint.
This is the same reason that the ten commandments indicate that humanity is 'mentally ill' or 'sabotaged', if you will.
It's on us to get out of it.
No way that happens if we simply hide from everything behind the 'rule of law'.
Humans in good condition are loving, supportive and live well together.
Where that fails has become a problem of politics and government. But it is just a temporary problem, nothing more, nothing less.
At some point the origin and resolution for sabotage of humanity will be scientifically isolated and solved, at which point 'government' and 'politics' will fade.
Seems unlikely we will get there any faster by banning everything in sight and running a super control society.
The only reason America was ever great was because of the relative INCREASE in freedom over other countries. If America can't continue to deliver, another civilization will eventually replace it with FREER citizens. Those with less free citizens have, to this point, always imploded.
