important, only the securing of the border and that trump should not be taken literally about the wall.
THEN limbaugh changed subjects and ranted about media types not believing trump when he says what he is going to do.
So on the one hand, we should not take trump literally and on the other, people should listen and believe trump when he says what he is going to do.
Got into an argument with a dear friend who is with limbaugh on this.
My points:
1. What you say matters. We all bashed the marxist when he said "if you like your plan, if you like your doctor, etc" He said it something like 28 times in public. How many times did trump say he's going to build the wall? Guaranteed, 100%. And mexico will pay, guaranteed, 100%. To me, not building the wall that had funds allocated in 2005(?) would be a serious breach of faith. I would be ticked. My friend says i'm just one guy. Am i, just one?
2. Limbaugh says it's just important to secure the border, how he does it, doesn't matter. Wrong again. Trump will not be president forever. What if harry reid or keith ellison become president? If there is a wall, mexicans, somalis et.al., may not come in. Maybe. And if there is no wall but trump did a perfect job of keeping illegals out, do you think lizzy warren would continue to keep them out?
Words have to mean something. You cannot say dozens of times what you will do, and then say that you didn't really mean it. I voted for trump because he is not a politician. I want to believe him when he makes promises.
Politicians lie. Like obama, fat hillary and romney. There is no reason to believe them about anything.
I will consider abandoning politics totally if it become acceptable and expected for all politicians to lie. If standards fall so low, what is the point?
Sorry, this makes me angry, even though it was limbaugh and not trump saying it
Am i the only one? Is the physical wall important? Is it a promise to be kept, or a vague, non specific effort to reach the same end?
